Programme:

DAY ONE:
Following their arrival in Bologna our guests will discover the fascinating illuminated streets of the city with a brief evening walk, which will include a short break to enjoy an “aperitivo” – a first taste of this pleasure loving city.
DAY TWO:
Following breakfast in the hotel we will travel to Venice by train and begin to discover the secrets of the most romantic city in Italy. Overnight stay in Venice.
DAY THREE:
Following breakfast we will have the opportunity to visit the Jewish Ghetto, one of the best preserved in Europe and Tiepolo’s frescoes in the Carmine church; Titian’s altarpiece in Santa maria Gloriosa dei Frari and Tintoretto’s masterpieces in the School of San Rocco. It will also be possible to make an excursion to the island of San Giorgio and visit Palladio’s church of the same name with its frescoes by Tintoretto. Overnight stay in Venice.
DAY FOUR:
Breakfast in your hotel. in the morning we will leave for Verona stopping off at Padova to see the Scrovegni Chapel and Giotto’s frescoes, the church of Saint Antonio and the historic University buildings. We can also stop at Vicenza to admire Palladio’s Masterpiece: the splendid Olimpic Theatre. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Verona, the city of operatic theatre and Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Overnight stay in Verona.
DAY FIVE:
After brakfast in your hotel, our guide will take you on a romantic tour which will include juliet’s house, the Piazza delle Erbe and the incredible Verona Arena. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in characteristic restaurants where you can sample local specialities and famous wines. Overnight stay in Verona.
DAY SIX:
After breakfast we will leave for Bologna, stopping off to spend some time at Mantova, a charming city which is world-famous for the frescoes by Mantegna, and its delicious pumpkin tortelli. Carrying on towards Bologna we can stop at Modena, the capital of balsamic vinegar, which has a well – preserved city centre. We expect to arrive at Bologna in the late afternoon, then we will enjoy dinner in one of the old “osterie”taverns. Overnight stay in Bologna.
DAY SEVEN:
After breakfast in your hotel you will meet our guide who will show you the most important monuments that make up the historic and artistic heritage of the city. The walk ends at the Hotel and you will have some free time to go shopping or have another wander around the city. Overnight stay in Bologna.
DAY EIGHT:
Breakfast in your hotel and departure for “home”.
