1St Day: Arrival in Naples and panormic tour
Meet our English speaking assistant and with our private coach we will proceed towards Naples for a panoramic guided tour that will give us the chance to discover the famous Spaccanapoli, the Cathedral, Piazza del Plebiscito, Maschio Angioino, and we will admire one of the most famous panorama of Vesuvio.
After the visit we will proceed towards Sorrento and we will join our beautiful hotel Art Hotel Gran Paradiso for dinner.
Italy‘s third-largest city is one of its oldest, most artistic and most delicious. Naples’ historic centre is a Unesco World Heritage Site, its archaeological treasures are among the world’s most impressive, and its swag of vainglorious palaces, castles and churches make Rome look positively provincial. Then there’s the food. Blessed with rich volcanic soils, a bountiful sea, and centuries of culinary know-how, the Naples region is one of Italy‘s epicurean heavyweights, serving up the country’s best pizza, pasta and coffee, and many of its most celebrated seafood dishes, street snacks and sweet treats. Certainly, Naples’ urban sprawl can feel anarchic, tattered and unloved. But look beyond the grime and graffiti and you’ll uncover a city of breathtaking frescoes, sculptures and panoramas, of unexpected elegance, of spontaneous conversations and profound humanity.
2nd day POMPEI and its excavations and a funny team building pizza school
After breakfast we will start our day discovering the famous excavation of Pompei. We will try to reconstruct the hours that followed the explosion of Vesuvius through small personal stories, suggested by the remains found in the excavations, and following the story of the eruption we could better review this living fragment of ancient Rome crystallized in time. Among the others, we will admire the ancient “domus”, perfectly preserved in its structure, in its decoration, in its human living environment interrupted but not destroyed or altered, by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 d.c.
Pompei is home of the ancient Roman ruins part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The terrible eruption of Vesuvius that buried Pompeii on August 24, 79 AD, has left to posterity the opportunity to enjoy and visit the city as it appeared to the ancient inhabitants just before the catastrophe. The eruption destroyed the city, killing its inhabitants and burying it under tons of ash. The site was lost for about 1,500 years until its initial rediscovery in 1599 and broader rediscovery almost 150 years later by Spanish engineer Rocque Joaquin de Alcubierre in 1748.
After the visit of Pompei, we will join a farm where we will have the great opportunity to participate to a funny Pizza school team building and we will really enjoy preparing the dough for the pizza and mixing all the ingredients by hand! We will be divided into small groups and we will have a lot of fun learning the secrets of Pizza Napoletana using our creativity. We will have also the chance to eat some typical products like mozzarella, olives, bruschetta, salami, wine and we will also discover the secrets of the production of mozzarella, olive oil and limoncello.
At the end we will taste the different pizza we have cooked and we will declare the winner.
It’s official: pizza is the single most popular food in all the world. The modern pizza was invented in Naples. There are a million ways to make it, and almost as many ways to enjoy it. Participants have a unique and unrepeatable occasion to see real Italian “Pizzaiolo” in action and then under his guidance prepare their own pizza! First of all Pizza Team Building is a source of pure fun. Moreover, the proposed activity introduces some competition, especially when it comes to dough tossing, pizza stretching and twisting.
Then we will proceed our day with a guided tour of the beautiful Sorrento. We will admire the beautiful panorama of the bay whose landscape is characterized by an alternation of sea and mountains and somptuos gardens. Built on a ridge of tufa, the town of citrus fruits contains unique features in the world, naturalistic, cultural, artistic and folklore. After the visit we will join the hotel for dinner. Sorrento is well known as land of colors and as the city of the orange and lemon groves. Limoncello, a digestif, gets its flavor and distinctive, almost neon-yellow color from the infusion of the skins of locally grown lemons in pure alcohol. The key attraction of Sorrento is that it can offer a variety of holiday experiences to suit different visitors, from rural walks through lemon and olive groves to a choice of excursions by land or sea. Sorrento became a favorite place of retreat for the Roman patricians rich, that here built sumptuous villas to spend their periods of otium. After them some of the most illustrious exponents of European culture, including Nietzsche, Goethe, Ibsen, Dickens, Wagner, to let Sorrento become a place known all over the world.
3rd day Visit the amazing Amalfi Coast: positano Amalfi and Ravello
After breakfast we will dedicate our day strolling around the splendid Amalfi Coast, magically suspended between the blue sky and the iridescent colored sea. Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern coast of the Salerno Gulf listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape. During the day we will visit the famous town of Amalfi situated at the mouth of the Valle dei Mulini, with its beautiful Cathedral of St. Andrew, with its impressive staircase and the bell-tower in Arab-Norman style. Then we will proceed towards Ravello famous for its ancient villas overlooking beautiful gardens and the sea, and final we will admire the picturesque Positano. At the end of the tour we will go back to hotel to have dinner.
The Coast looks like a balcony suspended between the cobalt blue sea and the slopes of the Lattari mountains, in a succession of valleys and headlands between coves, beaches and terraces planted with citrus fruit, vines and olive trees. The only land route to the Amalfi Coast is the 40 kilometres long SS. 163 which runs along the coastline from the town of Vietri sul Mare in the east to Positano in the west. Thirteen municipalities are located on the Amalfi Coast well known for its production of limoncello liqueur.
